2013 South Alabama Uniforms

The 2013 season was South Alabama's first bowl eligible season, but unfortunately was not extended by a bowl bid. The 6-6 Jaguars finished 5th in the Sun Belt Conference, their best finish to date.

As per the recent trend, South Alabama introduced one new uniform this season, this time being the new Speed Machine red jersey. These new jerseys were the first to utilize a number font based off the athletic font (similar to that of the Houston Cougars). The new jerseys were worn five times throughout the season, in four different uniform combinations.


2013 saw the change to the JAGS wordmark on the side of helmet, a change from the Jaguar head logo that had donned the program's helmets since the beginning.


South Alabama celebrated Military Appreciation with their first alternate helmet design, choosing to go with American Flag details within the normal JAGS wordmark when the team visited the Naval Academy.
